Since the September 4th, 2010 earthquake in Christchurch, Sidera has been assisting our customers to repair and rebuild their buildings and businesses through the delivery of professional project and claim management services.  The bulk of our work is in the commercial building sector including retail facilities, warehouses, churches, schools and industrial facilities. Currently we have over 75 buildings under project management totaling 200,000 m2 of floor area.

Our scope of services includes:

  • Working with insurance loss adjusters to provide an initial project scope and establish realistic reserves
  • Working with professionals (structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects etc) to develop a detailed understanding of the repair methodology and process
  • Development of project plans including timeframes and budgets utilising industry accepted methodologies
  • Seeking approvals from loss adjusters and insurers to progress repairs
  • Management of the repair process including managing repair contractors
  • Management of the claim cost and payment process utilising specifically developed software
  • Reporting on a regular basis to the owner, insurer and other parties.

This approach combined with our ability to communicate effectively with all parties has enabled Sidera to progress projects which have stalled and ensure that our clients are able to remediate their buildings and businesses much sooner than otherwise would have been the case.
