Project Manager

John has a wide-ranging trade background bringing “street cred” to the Sidera team. He trained as a furniture finisher and his years of experience as production manager, developing and producing luxury branded wooden products, have given him a strong background in production, logistics, organisation and people management.

His eight years on super yachts, starting as a deck hand and working his way up to first mate, have given him a wide and practical trades understanding and the ability to assess, manage and solve issues independently and thoroughly, with a strong appreciation for health and safety implications. John has managed regular major boat refit projects of up to US$1m at a time, working to tight deadlines and budgets. Over the past decade he has owned and managed commercial and residential property.

In his spare time John’s favourite pastime is fishing and all legal species are fair game.

Project Manager

Ollie has worked extensively in volunteer and not-for-profit management, enabling a wide variety of organisations to build their capacity to perform better. Most recently Ollie was employed as the Executive Officer for the New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC), which included managing a team of 5 at the national office in Christchurch, and a network of 17 of alpine huts and lodges around the country. The environmental and people logistics presented by the various capital and maintenance projects which Ollie managed during his time at NZAC has proved an ideal foundation to step into project management with Sidera.

Ollie's professional training is in Parks and Recreation Management. He enjoys a complex challenge, and takes a lot of satisfaction in bringing a team of people together to achieve a common goal.

When not in the office, Ollie can often be found happily gardening at home in Opawa with his partner Vanessa, practicing Qigong, or off exploring the mountains somewhere.
